Netflix expands recommended TVs logo worldwide
Netflix announced an upgrade and expansion of its programme to recommend TVs that support its streaming video services. First launched last year in the US, the 'Netflix Recommended TV' programme is going global this year, to reflect the company's increased footprint. It also carries stricter criteria, which none of the TVs recommended last year would have met, the company said. 

The main changes are recommended TVs must turn on quickly and internet TV services and smart menu features are ready to use right away, and the TVs must offer 'TV Resume', so if Netflix was the last used app, the TV comes back to Netflix when turned on again. They also come with the latest version of Netflix software and features. The first TVs recommended under the new criteria are LG UHD TVs running webOS 3.0 and Sony UHD TVs running Android OS. These will feature the Netflix recommended logo on the box.
