Netflix to launch services in Latin America - report
US-based video streaming service Netflix plans to launch in Latin America and will soon announce deals with three of the continent's biggest broadcasters to begin streaming programming online in Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Mexico. Netflix is currently in negotiations to acquire telenovelas and other content from Grupo Televisa and TV Azteca of Mexico, and Globo of Brazil, the Financial Times reports, citing people briefed on the plans. Netflix told the newspaper that the group had significant international ambitions. "Our long-term goal is to have a worldwide service at some point," the company said.
