The Netherlands takes the lead in the November Netflix ISP Index with a country average of 3.16 Mbps. No other countries passed 3 Mbps, but runners up Sweden and Denmark came close with 2.83 Mbps and 2.8 Mbps, respectively. Mexico was ranked last, just below Ireland and the US.
In the Netherlands, cable operator Caiway achieved the highest speed with an average 3.58 Mbps, followed by Ziggo and Zeelandnet with respectively 3.56 Mbps and 3.42 Mbps. KPN achieved 3.11 Mbps, Online was at 3 Mbps and XS4ALL registered 2.98 Mbps. Tele2 and UPC completed the list with average streaming speeds of respectively 2.87 Mbps and 2.64 Mbps.
In the US, Google Fiber ranked No.1 with average speeds of 3.59 Mbps. Cablevision-Optimum ranked second with 2.75 Mbps, followed by Cox with 2.56 Mbps, Suddenlink with 2.48 Mbps and Charter with 2.32 Mbps. The Netflix ISP Speed Index is based on data from more than 40 million Netflix members who view over one billion hours of TV shows and movies streaming from Netflix each month.
