
The Neustar registry business includes a portfolio of top-level domains, including .biz, .co, .in, .nyc, and .us. It also supports over 215 TLDs and 12 million domains. This includes the Managed Registry Services business that provides end-to-end registry management for over 130 brand TLDs and 70 generic TLDs.
GoDaddy CEO Andrew Low Ah Kee said the registry platform will enhance scalability for future growth. The new service will be called GoDaddy Registry and be led by Nicolai Bezsonoff, the GM for Neustar’s registry business. Under the agreement, GoDaddy will adhere to a governance model that maintains independence between the GoDaddy registry, and registrar businesses.
Neustar said the sale will enable it to better executive its own core mission of providing marketing, risk, communications and security services through its OneID platform.
