New developments in appeal Versatel Dutch UMTS auction
Telfort announced that at the first day of the Dutch UMTS auction (July 6, 2000) Telfort and Versatel have held talks directly related to the auction. Both Telfort and Versatel participated in the Dutch UMTS auction. Telfort made this announcement today at a hearing concerning the appeal by Versatel against the Dutch government. Secretary of State Monique de Vries directly consulted the the Netherlands Competition Authority to verify this information.
