France Telecom is weeks away from appointing a new chief executive at Orange, the Financial Times reported. The company has only a few names left on its list: two candidates from within the company and at least one senior executive from French media group Thomson Multimedia, the paper wrote. People close to the telecom operator said that the nomination committee at France Telecom is considering Graham Howe, deputy chief executive of the mobile operator, and Simon Duffy, Orange's chief financial officer. But at least one senior executive at Thomson is also being considered for the post.
