RIM presenteert een nieuwe versie van BlackBerry Media Sync, waarmee gebruikers muziek en foto's kunnen synchroniseren met hun BlackBerry® smartphone. De software werkt via USB met iTunes Desktop of Windows Media Player en bevat nieuwe compressiemethoden. Uit Telecompaper onderzoek blijkt dat de BlackBerry populair is onder jongeren, ondanks het corporate imago.

Dutch Mobile Consumer Q3 2009 - Handset Edition

The report Dutch Mobile Consumer Q3-2009 gives detailed information on the demographics of the consumers, their sales channel, reason for selecting a provider, average spending, most used services and use of additional bundles next to the running subscription. The Dutch Mobile Consumer 2009-Q3 report will be available for purchase in two different editions. This report gives edition gives insight split per mobile handset brand: Nokia, Samsung, SonyEricsson, LG, HTC, Motorola, Apple, Blackberry, Operator-branded, and Others, on the following aspects: Split per Age-group, Gender, Postpaid/Prepaid, Packages/Sim Only, Personal income and Education; Sales channels; Which kind of e-shop did the consumer use for sales via internet. Which kind of 'brick-and-mortar' shop did he use to buy his mobile connection; What are the top seven reasons for the consumer for selecting his current mobile provide; What is the average spend per consumer (All, Postpaid, Prepaid), and who pays the monthly fees, call charges, etc; Which additional bundles, like SMS, internet, etc, is the consumer subscribed to besides his normal voice subscription; What are the top five most used services, and what are the number of SMS send per month. The second edition gives the same kind of information split per mobile service provider: Hi, KPN, Telfort, Vodafone, T-Mobile, Tele2, and Others. Report is based on the responses of almost 17,000 respondents from our Telecompaper Consumer Panel during the period April - September 2009. Results are CBS stratified for gender and age (15-64). In our panel, we ask every month at least 2,000 consumers about their use of mobile telephony, broadband connections, fixed telephony and TV, including details on their current situation, purchasing habits, usage and churn.
