Nine EU states fail to implement E-Piracy Directive
The European Commission has started legal proceedings against nine EU member states for failing to write new electronic privacy (E-privacy) rules into national law. The nine affected states are France, Germany, Portugal, Sweden, Greece, Belgium, Finland, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. All nine missed the 31 October 2003 deadline for implementing the E-Privacy Directive.
