No dividend for Turkcell shareholders
Shareholders of Turkcell did not take a decision on a resumption of dividend payments at the annual general meeting. The announcement was made by TeliaSonera, which holds a 38 percent stake in the Turkish operator and voted in support of the dividend proposal. Prior to the AGM held on 29 March, Turkcell announced an agreement among shareholders to pay a dividend of TRY 0.5454545 per share. The total TRY 1.2 billion is equal to 58 percent of the company's net profit for 2015. 

The AGM also rejected proposals by the board of directors to authorise share buybacks and for amendments to the company's articles of association. The accounts for 2015 were approved by the shareholders, and the release of management.
