Nokia delays E7 smartphone launch to Q1

Nokia has delayed the launch of its top-of-the-range E7 handset to early next year. The smartphone first announced in September had been expected to ship in the fourth quarter in time for the holiday shopping season. Similar to the N8, the E7 runs Symbian 3 and also includes a slide-out keyboard and 4-inch Amoled screen. "To ensure the best possible user experience on the E7 we have decided to begin shipping in early 2011," a spokesman for Nokia told news agencies. The N8 was also delayed this year and, after launch, Nokia admitted some of the phones had power problems.
