Nokia files ITC complaint over Apple patent infringement
Nokia has filed a complaint with the US International Trade Commission, alleging that Apple has infringed Nokia's patents in virtually all of its mobile phones, portable music players, and computers. The seven Nokia patents in this complaint relate to Nokia technologies that are allegedly being used by Apple to create new features in its products in the area of user interface, as well as camera, antenna and power management technologies. In October Nokia filed a patent infringement suit against Apple in US federal court, accusing Apple of infringing ten Nokia patents for GSM, UMTS and WLAN technologies. The Nokia suit singled out the iPhone for allegedly using the Nokia technology without authorisation since the handset's launch in 2007. Apple responded with a patent infringement suit against Nokia in early December, accusing the Finnish company of violating thirteen Apple patents.
