Nokia Networks forms mobile edge computing standards group

Nokia Networks said it has collaborated with other equipment vendors and operators to create a new European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) Industry Specification Group (ISG) for Mobile Edge Computing (MEC). It said the ISG for MEC would be announced formally during the SDN & OpenFlow World Congress in Dusseldorf in Germany, taking place from 14-17 October.
