Nokia signs EUR 250 mln loan from Nordic Investment Bank for 5G R&D

Nokia said it has signed a EUR 250 million loan transaction with the Nordic Investment Bank (NIB) to finance research and development activities related to 5G. The loan has an average maturity of approximately five years after disbursement and will be directed towards R&D focused on 5G activities in Europe from 2018-2020, including IoT applications in various sectors.

The NIB is a financial institution owned by Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden. It finances private and public projects in and outside the member countries. NIB has the highest possible credit rating of AAA/Aaa, with agencies Standard & Poor's and Moody's.
