Norwegian electronic communications regulator Nkom said it is putting back its preliminary timetable for allocating frequencies in the 900 MHz band in order to spend more time considering feedback on the proposed auction rules. The auction had been due to begin on 01 June.
A hearing ran from 15 January to 26 February and the watchdog said it had received comments on the current competitive position and how allocating the 900 MHz spectrum relates to that. The commencement of the auction will now be postponed from 01 June until after the summer, with a more precise date to be published later.
