Norwegian artificial intelligence research centre NorwAI starts operations

Telenor said the Norwegian Research Centre for AI Innovation (NorwAI) has commenced operations and will run for eight years. NorwAI is located at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and is funded by the Research Council of Norway and a consortium of partners. Beside Telenor, the partners are Schibsted, the banks DNB and Sparebank1 SMN, broadcaster Norsk Rikskringkasting, Retriever Norge, DNV GL, Kongsberg Digital, Cognite, Tronderenergi and the DigitalNorway business association, whose members include Lyse.
