Novator asks to return 2.5GHz licence won in 4G auction

Partners, a vehicle for UK-based investment fund Novator, has written to Colombia's Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications (Mintic) to return one of the licences it won in the recent auction for LTE spectrum. The bidder, owner of Chilean operator WOM, accidentally offered COP 1.75 trillion for Block 2 in the 2.5GHz band, some 10 times higher than the going rate, compared to the COP 293 billion it offered for Block 5 and COP 173.5 billion for Block 6.
