NSN CEO Suri expected to be new Nokia CEO - report
Rajeev Suri, the CEO of Nokia Solutions and Networks, is expected to be named the CEO of the Nokia group after the sale of its mobile phone business to Microsoft, according to the paper Helsingin Sanomat. Its sources said Suri was the strongest candidate for CEO. Since the announcement of the sale, CFO Timo Ihamuotila has served as interim CEO, as former Stephen Elop is expected to move to Microsoft. Microsoft and Nokia expect to complete the sale by the end of March, after which Nokia is expected to take a decision on the CEO, the paper said.

NSN executive chairman to step down

Nokia announced that Jesper Ovesen is to step down as executive chairman of Nokia Solutions and Networks, the group's network infrastructure business. A former CFO with a number of Danish companies, Ovesen joined NSN in September 2011 and helped lead the company's restructuring to narrow its focus to mobile broadband and improve cash flow. His departure follows Nokia's full takeover of the company in August. Ovesen will step down officially when Nokia's sale of its handset business to Microsoft is completed

Stephen Elop will receive a EUR 18.8 million pay-off to move from Nokia to Microsoft, reports the Financial Times.
