The number of mobile phone subscriptions in Lithuania was 4.1 million as of 01 July, up from 3.42 million in 2004, according to data from the Communications Regulatory Authority (RRT), reports Total Telecom. The 4.1 million figure compares to a population in Lithuania of 3.4 million. Mobile phone subscriptions rose 12.5 percent vs January 2005. The number of home landline subscribers was 807,500, down 2 percent vs July 2004. The number of Internet users was 650,000, up from 272,900 in July 2004.
