Numericable raises EUR 750 mln in IPO
French cable operator Numericable raised EUR 750 million in its 8 November IPO, which was over ten times oversubscribed. The operation valued the group, which includes business operator Completel, at EUR 5.57 billion. An hour after its listing, the EUR 24.80 share price rose by 6.41 percent, raising the size of its free float to EUR 3.27 billion, according to Les Echos. This was the biggest listing on the Paris bourse since 2009.

The commercial court of Nanterre, France, has thown out a lawsuit filed by operator Free against cabler Numericable on 31 October, in which Free claimed that Numericable had provided false and devaluing information about Free's services in its IPO prospectus. French cable operator and MVNO Numericable has confirmed the launch of its IPO on 28 October on the NYSE Euronext exchange in Paris.
