Numericable to launch MVNO services via Mobistar network

Cable TV operator Numericable will become a MVNO using Mobistar's network after inking a deal with the Belgian mobile operator, becoming Belgium's next provider of quadruple play, L'Echo reported. No launch date has been officially disclosed but the MVNO is expected to start operating in the second quarter of this year. At first, only customers living in Numericable's catchment area in Brussels will be able to access the new services. These ten municipalities include Brussels, Laeken, Anderlecht, Molenbeek-Saint-Jean, Neder-over-Heembeek, Haren, Watermael-Boitsfort, Saint-Josse-ten-Noode, Drogenbos and Wemmel. The company hopes to expand services to a larger part of the population at a later date.
