O2, E-Plus launch roaming network test in Germany
O2 customers will be able to use the E-Plus UMTS mobile network in the wider region of Gummersbach, Siegen and Altenkirchen from mid-January within the context of a roaming network test, maxwireless.de reports. The test, which is intended for a duration of three months, is only available to a limited number of participants; interested customers can sign up online. Once connected to the roaming network, the network name changes from 'o2.de' to 'o2.de+'.

Telefonica Deutschland plans to close around 300 Base and O2 partner shops during 2015, according to Telefonica Deutschland's retail director Marcus Epple in an interview with magazine Telecom Handel. E-Plus starts selling O2 products for medium-sized firms

Telefonica Germany said the E-Plus direct sales arm for medium-sized businesses has begun selling O2 products. It will focus on O2 Unite, Digital Phone and Digital Workplace.
