OnePlus has confirmed its new smartphone, called the OnePlus 3T, and said it will go on sale in the US and Canada on 22 November from USD 439.
An update of the USD 399 OnePlus 3 released earlier this year, the 3T features the newer Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 (2.35 GHz) processor, compared to the 820 on its predecessor, and a 13 percent increase in battery capacity to 3,400 mAh.
While the rear camera retains the 16-megapixel Sony sensor IMX 298 sensor, the 3T's front camera replaces the previous 8 MP Sony sensor with a 16 MP Samsung unit.
The 3T retains the soft gold body colour option but drops the graphite variant in favour of gunmetal and offers 128 GB storage as well as the old model's 64 GB offering.
Like its predecessor, the new phone runs OxygenOS, OnePlus' customised version of Android and features OnePlus' proprietary Dash fast-charging system. It also includes a USB C-Type port, fingerprint sensor and dual-Sim card slot, plus support for LTE Cat 6. The 5.5-inch optic Amoled screen uses Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and supports 1080p HD resolution.
The 3T launches in EU markets on 28 November, priced at EUR 439 for the 64 GB model, compared to EUR 399 for the OnePlus 3.
