Only two groups certified to bid for Mexican 2.5 GHz spectrum

Wednesday 11 July 2018 | 12:32 CET | News
Mexico's telecommunications regulator IFT has announced that only two as yet unnamed groups will bid in the forthcoming tender for 120 MHz of spectrum for LTE and 5G services in the 2.5GHz band. In a statement, the watchdog confirmed the delivery of certificates of participation to the two bidders, widely thought to be AT&T and Movistar (Telefonica) after Telcel (America Movil) and the Altan Redes consortium ruled out taking part in the tender earlier this year.
