Ono adds further 183,000 mobile lines in Q4
Spanish cable operator Ono has confirmed that it added 183,000 new mobile subscriptions between October and December 2013, closing the year with 1.085 million mobile lines. The vast majority of the new subscriptions – some 160,000 – switched over from other operators. In total, Ono managed to attract 668,000 new lines in 2013 even though its mobile services are only available to fixed-line subscribers. The company, which is currently preparing for an IPO and is reportedly a takeover target for Vodafone and Liberty Global, said that the key to the success of its mobile segment has been its range of triple- and quadruple-play offers. Ono also announced that the total number of fixed and mobile services had reached 5.234 million by year-end.
