Ono launches 100 Mbps service offering for Facebook fans
Spanish cable operator Ono has commercially launched its 100 Mbps internet service offering. In a first phase, the service will be exclusively available to Ono's Facebook fans. Users who take up the operator's offering will be able to access real speeds of 100 Mbps for download and 10 Mbps for upload. Ono plans to gradually expand its 100 Mbps service across the country.

Spanish cable operator Ono has expanded its 100 Mbps internet service offering, ADSL Zone reports. Initially launched in May, the service was up to now exclusively available to Ono's Facebook fans. Users who take up the operator's offering will be able to access real speeds of 100 Mbps for download and 10 Mbps for upload. Subscribers will be charged EUR 45.90 per month during the first year of service, after which the monthly fee will be increased to EUR 79.90.

Orange expands symmetric 100 Mbps service to Asturias

Orange has expanded its symmetric 100 Mbps internet offering to the Spanish region of Asturias, ADSL Zone reports. The operator is already providing the service in the Madrid area and the town of Viladecans (Barcelona). Orange targets over 52,000 Asturias households with its 100 Mbps service. The service will be provided in partnership with the public company GIT. TeleCable to offer 100 Mbps FTTH service to 134,000 households

Spanish regional cable operator TeleCable will expand its FTTH service to approximately 134,000 households across Spain's Autonomous Community of Extremadura. The operator rolled out the deployment of its FTTH network in March. TeleCable will initially focus its FTTH network deployment in Extremadura's four largest cities, Badajoz, Caceres, Merida and Plasencia. TeleCable targets 279,000 households across 37 Extremadura communities connected to its FTTH network by 2020.

TeliaSonera's Spanish subsidiary Yoigo plans to expand its customer base to over 3 million customers this year by attracting clients with low prices, Yoigo CEO Johan Andsjo said in an interview with Bloomberg. Ono expands 50 Mbps broadband service to 5.5 mln households

Spanish cable operator Ono has expanded its ultra-fast broadband offering to nearly 5.5 million households, ADSL Zone reports. Over 80 percent of Ono's FTTH network currently leverages Docsis 3.0 technology, being able to provide download speeds of 50 and 100 Mbps.

Movistar launches commercial 100 Mbps FTTH service

Movistar has commercially launched its FTTH service with speeds of 100 Mbps for download and 10 Mbps for upload. Movistar's fibre network currently covers 300,000 households, and the Spanish operator plans to expand it to one million households by year-end, ADSL Zone reports. Movistar first introduced its FTTH offering with pricing details in July.
