ZTE has signed a global frame agreement with Qatar-based Ooredoo Group for the supply of radio, cloud core, transport and 4G/5G CPE/terminals as well as related implementation and integration services for the Ooredoo Group’s operating companies. This global frame agreement extends the strategic partnership between the two parties for further five years.
ZTE, as one of the Ooredoo Group's current primary service and network equipment suppliers, has partnered with Ooredoo in Algeria, Tunis and Indonesia, where ZTE has supplied its RAN portfolio, optical DWDM, FTTX, IP, cloud-native packet & voice core software, CPE terminals and microwave and turnkey managed services with some Ooredoo's operating companies. Recently, ZTE and Ooredoo have extended ZTE’s footprint with new projects awarded in Algeria and Indonesia for microwave and IPRAN respectively.
Under the amendment to the new Group Framework Supply Agreement (GFSA), Ooredoo will use ZTE’s 5G services, for instance, the BBU platform-V9200. The platform’s single board can support 2G/3G/4G/5G simultaneously. Besides, the platform provides RF products with low power consumption, supporting 5G deployment strategies. ZTE will provide IPRAN products, which support SRv6 deployments in all scenarios of 2G, 3G, LTE, 5G and FMC (Fixed-Mobile Convergence).
