Option unveils PC data card for EDGE/GPRS and WLAN
Belgian wireless technology company Option unveiled a PC data card combining EDGE/GPRS and WLAN (Wi-Fi) access technologies, GlobeTrotter COMBO EDGE. Besides incorporating multiple access technologies the GlobeTrotter COMBO EDGE offers benefits and functionality including the GlobeTrotter form factor with patented retractable antenna design; a quad-band (850/900/1800/1900) functionality which makes it suitable for US, European and Asian markets and it supports both 54Mbps (802.11g 802.11 b) and 11Mbs Wi-Fi (WLAN) standards.
