Optus achieves 945Mbps 4.5G speed running live apps on Galaxy S9

Australian operator Optus reports it has integrated the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ into live 4.5G sites at Macquarie Park, with the smartphone achieving 945Mbps speed running live applications. The Optus 4.5G Network uses combined 4x4 MIMO, FDD+TDD 5CC Carrier Aggregation services. Optus used FDD LTE 2600MHz with 4 Layer MIMO and 4 carriers of TDD 2300MHz with 2 Layer MIMO, combined with higher order modulation of 256QAM to reach a theoretical of 1Gbps.
