Optus launches Home Wireless Broadband service via 4G
Optus has introduced a new Home Wireless Broadband service via 4G, promising an out-of-the-box modem that can be set up quickly and easily. Unlike a broadband connection which can require a technician and takes time to hook up, connection to Home Wireless Broadband is straightforward, according to Optus. Once a Sim is active, customers insert it into the modem and can go online. Customers who move home within the same area where Home Wireless Broadband is available can take their modem with them and connect from their new abode.

The service has a 50GB data limit, and is available on short and long-term plans. Once the monthly 50 GB limit has been reached, Optus automatically adds an additional 10 GB for 10 AUD. Once the data usage reaches 60 GB, the service will be slowed to 256 Kbps until the next payment cycle.
