Optus, Telstra, Vodafone to receive AUD 45.6 mln in govt funding to build 102 new base stations

Australia's minister for regional communications Bridget McKenzie has announced the outcomes of the latest round of the Mobile Black Spot Program, which is designed to improve mobile coverage across Australia. "Today I am announcing that all 125 identified priority black spot locations will receive improved mobile coverage", McKenzie said. Optus, Telstra and Vodafone will receive AUD 45.6 million in funding to build 102 new base stations under the Priority Locations round of the program.
