Orange Poland is launching internet services over a CDMA network, to expand access to rural and underpopulated areas. The new CDMA network will cover around 50 percent of the country by the end of this year and around 80 percent by September next year. The company will spend PLN 500 million rolling out the network, and it is expecting a return on investment within 3 to 4 years, the Warsaw Business Journal reported from a press conference on the launch. Orange is offering internet service at up to 1 Mbps with 3GB data use per month, subject to a fair use policy. The service starts at PLN 40 per month for business users and PLN 49 for residential customers, plus the cost of the Axesstel MV 410 R wireless router. Customers can also add voice and SMS service bundles. Next year, Orange plans to add mobile services for data and voice over the CDMA network.
