Orange launches 'TVcheck' social TV app in UK
Orange has announced that its new 'TVcheck' social TV app is available to download for iPhone users from the Apple App Store in the UK. The free app is available on any mobile network and works with 25 free-to-air channels in the UK, including the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5. The UK launch follows the successful launch of the app in France in 2011. It will be expanded in the future to support other platforms, including Android.

The app combines live TV image recognition technology with social and gaming tools for users to interact around their favourite TV programmes.
