Orange Poland tests G.fast technology
Orange Poland announced the first test of the technology G.fast in its Orange Labs. The test included TV services (HDTV), voice services (VoIP) and internet at up to 300/30 Mbps. The operator will launch soon a pilot operation of G.fast, in the hope of delivering speeds over 500 Mbps on copper lines.The technology is aimed at households where it is not possible to deploy FTTH.

BT starts G.fast trial in Huntingdon

BT Openreach has announced the start of its G.fast trial in Huntingdon. Some 2,000 homes and premises will test the up to 330 Mbps service in the coming weeks. The trial will run for 6-9 months, allowing Openreach, the eight communications providers trialing the technology and BT's R&D division to assess the technical performance across a large footprint.
