Orange Spain is set to become the first major operator to offer a symmetric 500 Mbps fibre-optic broadband plan throughout the country when it launches its new ‘Love Familia Total’ convergent plan on 01 December, confirming earlier reports. The new all-encompassing, family-oriented plan comes with FTTH at maximum download and upload speeds of 500 Mbps, plus 24 GB of mobile data at 4G+ speeds to be shared between three mobile lines, as well as unlimited fixed line and mobile calls and Orange’s full TV package, including all La Liga and Champions League football, film and TV series and some 3,000 VoD titles. The plan costs EUR 129.95 a month and also includes free roaming in the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.
The launch of ‘Love Familia Total’ comes over a year after Orange unveiled its first family-targeted convergent plan, Canguro Familia. The operator currently has around 3.2 million convergent subscribers and earlier this month changed the name of its Canguro convergent brand to Love to better compete with the Fusion and Vodafone One all-in-one offers of rivals Telefonica and Vodafone.
