Orange Spain has followed rivals including Vodafone by introducing its own portfolio of home automation and security products for customers under the name ‘Orange Smart Home’. The operator has begun selling a series of Google Assistant-compatible packages starting at EUR 2.50 a month with a view to “improving the lives of customers by facilitating their daily routines." All come with a Google Home Mini speaker and range from a smart plug (EUR 2.50 a month) package that can be used to turn on or off any attached device or appliance with a voice command, a remote light control (EUR 3.50 a month) package with two TP-Link smart bulbs and a video surveillance pack (EUR 5.50 a month) with a TP-Link KC 120 camera and Google Chromecast.
Finally, a EUR 10.50 a month TV video surveillance pack comes with a TP-Link KC 120 camera and 32-inch Android TV so that users can monitor their home and control the television with their voice. The plans are available on 24-month contracts with no downpayment and come with the ‘Tu Experto’ 24x7 support service at no extra charge.
