Orange unveils Djingo voice-controlled personal assistant

Orange is developing a new device branded Djingo, positioned as a voice-controlled personal assistant competing with the likes of Amazon's Alexa. Unveiled at the company's annual Hello Show, Djingo will have several capabilities, including the ability to send SMS, interact with Orange's content services and manage other connected objects. Scheduled to launch in early 2018, the device has been developed in partnership with Deutsche Telekom.
