OTE, Vodafone, Wind Hellas submit bids for frequencies
The Greek government has received three bids for the sale of mobile phone frequencies within the 800 MHz and 2,600 MHz bands, the regulator EETT announced. The three existing mobile operators - OTE, Vodafone and Wind Hellas - submitted offers before the deadline, which expired on 15 September. According to a tender document, the minimum price for the radio frequencies has been set at EUR 380 million. The regulator will now decide which applicants qualify for the bidding, before setting the schedule for the auction.

Greek regulator EETT has announced the results of its multiple round auction of spectrum in the 800 MHz and 2,600 MHz bands for mobile services. Greek mobile operators qualify for spectrum auction

Greek regulator EETT announced that it has approved the three applicants for the auction of frequencies in the 900 and 2,600 MHz bands.The three existing mobile operators - Cosmote, Vodafone Greece and Wind Hellas - will all be allowed to bid for the spectrum.

Greece prepares for digital dividend auction

Greek regulator EETT started a public consultation on the procedure for auctioning the so-called digital dividend spectrum. The frequencies in the 800 MHz and 2.6 GHz bands will be opened to LTE mobile broadband. The consultation covers how many lots of spectrum will be offered and possible conditions on bidders. All interested market parties are invited to comment by 30 June.
