Palm reports it has sold one million Palm Centro smartphones since the product was first launched on the market. Palm is now delivering the Centro in 10 countries, including Hong Kong, Singapore, India, the UK, Germany, Spain, Ireland, France and Italy. The Centro was first introduced in the US last September exclusively with Sprint. Since February, it is also offered by US operator AT&T. A Palm survey of Centro customers indicates that 70 percent of buyers are first-time smartphone users. Other survey findings show that compared to other Palm smartphones, Centro has two times more women users, more than double the number of customers under age 35, and nearly three times as many customers with a household income of less than USD 75,000.
