Israeli mobile operators Partner Communications and Pelephone announced agreements with Apple to sell iPhone handsets in Israel. Partner said the agreement is valid for three years, during which Partner has agreed to purchase a minimum quantity of iPhone handsets per year. These are expected to represent a significant portion of the company's expected handset purchases over that period. No details were released on the launch timing or end-user pricing for the phone. According to local press reports, an estimated 80,000 iPhones have already been imported to Israel since the phone's launch in the US two years ago.
