Polish operator Play plans to switch off its national roaming service on the T-Mobile Poland network on the night of 28 December, reports Telepolis.pl citing a message from the PR unit of Play. The two operators' national roaming agreement is approaching expiry, and Play does not plan to extend it.
According to the message from Play, the development of its own network is its top priority. The Play LTE network covers 99.39 percent of the country's population.
This June, Play signed an extension of its national roaming agreement with Orange Poland. The cooperation will continue with the current take-or-pay scheme, which guarantees additional minimum revenue for Orange Poland of PLN 300 million in total for 2021-2025.
