Polkomtel, which runs the Plus network, has become the first operator in Poland successfully to test data transmission at 300 Mbps on the LTE-Advanced network. It conducted trials based on aggregation of the bands 1800 MHz and 2600 MHz. The tests were conducted in cooperation with Ericsson and using LTE-Advanced Carrier Aggregation. LTE-Advanced used two aggregated carrier frequencies of 20 MHz in the standard LTE FDD, operating in the bands 1800 MHz and 2600 MHz.
