PremiumFree launches free-to-air satellite TV in South Africa

PremiumFree, a free-to-air satellite television, has launched in South Africa. The newly launched platform has been around since 2018 in Ghana and Nigeria where it shows its 25 free channels. The service uses Intelsat’s IS20 satellite.

The channels of the platform cater to viewers of telenovela, sports, movies, kids shows, documentaries, TV series, comedy, reality programming, and gospel. The company added that they are custom-made content for African viewers.

The broadcaster said eXposed will cover genres including lifestyle, food, music, art, sitcoms, dramas and international Viceland content.

PremiumFree TV set to launch free-to-air satellite television in South Africa in May

PremiumFree TV is set to launch free-to-air satellite television service in South Africa, reports TechCentral. PremiumFree has been available in Ghana and Nigeria since late 2018 and is now expanding a 25-channel bouquet of free channels to South Africa after it obtained transponder space on Intelsat's IS20 satellite. It said it is now available through another 40 million installed satellite dishes.
