Proximus revenue fall worsens to 5.9% in Q2, EBITDA down 1.5%

Friday 31 July 2020 | 10:23 CET | News
Belgian operator Proximus saw the drop in revenues worsen in the second quarter due to the coronavirus pandemic. Sales fell 5.9 percent to EUR 1.33 billion, hurt by the reduction in roaming and out-of-bundle revenue, shop closures and free services offered to customers during the lockdown. EBITDA fell a smaller 1.5 percent to EUR 477 million thanks to ongoing cost measures. Helped by a reduction in capex, the company said it's on track to meet the high end of its forecast for operating cash flow (EBITDA minus capex) of EUR 780-800 million this year, after EUR 523 million in the year to date.
