Qualcomm to open 5G R&D hub in France

US chipmaker Qualcomm is expanding its R&D presence in France with a new centre co-located in Lannion, Brittany, and Issy-Les-Moulineaux, in the Paris region. The facility will be Qualcomm's fourth R&D hub in Europe. The company said that the research team will focus on the future evolution of 5G and beyond, adding that it has been working with the French government to retain talent in Lannion.
