Prepaid service provider Trumpet Mobile and consumer electronics retailer RadioShack have partnered to roll out Trumpet Mobile's services at over 4,300 RadioShack neighbourhood locations. Trumpet Mobile subscribers can make Western Union intra-country and cross-border money transfers within the US and to Latin America and the Caribbean from their mobile phones. Apart from international mobile money transfers, Trumpet Mobile's service offers RadioShack customers access to a prepaid family plan, a prepaid domestic rate plan of USD 0.10 per minute, international long distance rates of USD 0.03 per minute, messaging for USD 0.05 per SMS, and a loyalty reward program that offers mobile subscribers bonus minutes for airtime usage. In addition, the Trumpet CashCard aims to enable mobile subscribers to make secure money transfers. This feature targets the 90 million unbanked individuals, and primarily the growing Hispanic community, in the US. Trumpet Mobile is based on Affinity Mobile's Made platform which supports mobile financial services capabilities, including debit card PIN purchases, ATM withdrawals and reloading Trumpet Mobile airtime using money on the Trumpet CashCard. Trumpet Mobile is available exclusively at participating neighbourhood RadioShack retail locations in the US and Puerto Rico.
