RIM rolls out BlackBerry App World 2.0
Research In Motion has rolled out the commercial version of BlackBerry App World 2.0, an update to its applications store. The new version is available for download in 65 countries. The portal features a new interface listing the top 25 apps and top apps in certain categories. Customers can also link a credit card or PayPal account to their App World account to pay for apps, in addition to carrier billing where supported. With BlackBerry ID, users will be able to transfer apps purchased to new devices. For developers, BlackBerry is also now offering price points of USD 0.99 and USD 1.99 for apps.
