Rok Mobile to launch mobile video service in US
The US mobile services provider Rok Mobile announced plans to launch its own online video service in the first quarter of 2016. The company already offers an unlimited mobile voice, text and data plan with streaming music in the US for USD 50 per month, and it will now add to that a streaming video service. The service will feature "thousands" of Hollywood and international blockbuster movies and TV series, as well as popular niche content such as cult TV and movies, anime, animation for young adults, extreme sports and curated short-form content, the company said. SeaChange is providing the OTT platform and support for delivery of mobile video content to iOS and Android devices. Rok is presenting the new service at the CTIA Super Mobility show in Las Vegas.

SeaChange widens loss in Q3

SeaChange International said revenues slipped to USD 28.7 million during its third quarter of fiscal 2016 from 30.0 million the year earlier. US MVNO Rok Mobile announced a new plan aimed at Hispanics and developed with Mariposa Holdings. The Libertad Plan comes with unlimited talk, text, data and music for USD 49.99 per month.
