Rostelecom expands networks in Buryatia, Omsk
Russian national operator Rostelecom has deployed LTE base stations in five villages in the Republic of Buryatia. The work was carried out under the federal programme to eliminate the digital divide. LTE base stations will be built in 19 more villages by the end of this year.

Rostelecom expands fibre coverage in Saratov region

Russian national operator Rostelecom has deployed fibre-optic networks in villages of Uchebny, Novaya-Krasnyanka and Verkhny-Yeruslan, as well as for private residences in the town of Rtishchevo in the Saratov region. Around 1,400 households have been covered with the network, and 20 kilometres of fibre-optic lines built.

Rostelecom expands LTE coverage in Penza villages

Russian national operator Rostelecom has launched its LTE services in six villages in the Penza region. Work was carried out under the federal programme on elimination of the digital divide, bringing 1,200 residents access to broadband services from the operator Tele2 Russia. Another 26 villages are planned to be covered with the LTE network in the region by the end of this year.

Russian national operator Rostelecom launched its LTE services in 44 villages in the Nizhniy-Novgorod region this year, bringing the network to over 11,000 residents. LTE base stations were deployed under the federal programme to eliminate the digital divide.

Rostelecom to deploy over 6,000 new racks at data centres this year

Russian national operator Rostelecom plans to launch more than 6,000 new racks at its data centres by the end of this year, reports Prime citing Kirill Menshov, the vice president for IT in the company. More than 3,000 racks have already been installed, Menshov said.
