Russian national operator Rostelecom and internet company Mail.ru Group have designed an similar service to video-service Zoom, reports Rbc.ru. The companies plan to participate in a government project to implement the service in schools.
The company plan to launch the service Spherum, an educational and communication platform for pupils, in the first quarter of next year. The platform will be tested in 15 regions across the country at the start of 2021 and run until the end of 2022.
The video-service will be available on desk-top PCs, as well as a mobile application. It will enable people to carry out video-conferencing sessions for up to 100 users.
Rostelecom was appointed as operator of the educational platform.
