
The consolidated revenues of Russian national operator Rostelecom grew by 5 percent year-on-year in the second quarter to RUB 75.166 billion, when calculated under international accountancy standards. OIBDA jumped by 8 percent to RUB 24.599 billion. The OIBDA margin increased by 1.1 percentage point to 32.7 percent. The net profit soared by 77 percent to RUB 2.826 billion. The company attributed growth to digital transformation.
Capex made up 16.6 percent of revenues and totaled RUB 12.451 billion, down by 16 percent year-on-year. The net debt grew by 4 percent year-on-year, up to RUB 185.486 billion.
The operator's broadband subscriber base increased by 5 percent to 12.6 million. The pay-TV subscriber base grew by 6 percent to 9.5 million households. The figure includes 4.6 million IPTV customers (+18%). The fixed telephony customer base declined by 7 percent to 19.9 million, while the MVNO subscriber base stood at 500,000.
